CURRICULUM VITAE

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Ms. Atwood has built a career on contributing her acquired skills and creative insight to the music and entertainment industries, to local Performing Arts communities, as well as to thriving companies, both, large and small.  From digital-media studio environments and stage productions, to conventional corporate office environments...she has shared with audiences, clients, and co-workers, a concise, sassy-rich style that is pleasantly captivating, yet visually powerful.

Inspired by working with others who are also self-motivated and dedicated to dynamic precision, Ms. Atwood embraces a philosophy which encourages the application of mind, body, and spirit...to all endeavors.  In doing so, she has mastered the invaluable talent of bringing unique and thought-provoking concepts to the forefront for others to experience, simply by integrating innovative technology with good old-fashioned raw talent.  Her work style is a seductive potpourri of human interaction, active listening, creative resourcefulness, and the undying instinct to find room for improvement; thus capturing all the necessary components for transforming any ground-floor project into a spell-binding masterpiece!

At a very young age, Paco--as she has been nicknamed for short--discovered her innate passion for the Arts, and took every opportunity to train and perform whenever possible.  She received a dance scholarship in 1985, to study a diverse spectrum of disciplines (ballet, jazz, Dunham, and Horton.)  It was at the Inner City Cultural Center of Los Angeles, California, where Ms. Atwood was discovered by dance director, Shirley Martin, and spent over a decade training and performing with her professional troupe, appearing at such venues as The House of Blues, Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, and the Henry Anson-Ford Theater.

Ms. Atwood eventually expounded upon her creative pursuits and branched out to work on voice-over projects and live band performances with independent artists--from West Hollywood and Culver City, California, all the way to London, England and back!  While raising three children and attending college at the same time, she later started working with USC Film School students in the production of various digital video projects including instructional aids for distance learning, marketing/promotional materials, and independent music videos.  From Boom Operator to Production Assistant...Writer and Script Supervisor, to Set Designer and Stage Choreographer...Paco-Michelle's "Jane-of-all-Trades" experience is, indeed, wide-ranged and indicative of nothing less than die-hard commitment and hands-on versatility when it comes to, simply, getting the job done!

In 1999, she took her career to another level, and spent the next three years working as a contractor in project development and major event coordinating.  Starting out as an Executive Assistant, Paco-Michelle let her creative instincts take over and got promoted to the positions of Production Supervisor and Creative Director/Consultant for several thriving Internet companies in Woodland Hills and Calabasas, California.  In 2002, she relocated to Seattle, Washington, and took on the bold challenge of making a complete career transition...from high-tech, creative and non-conventional forums, to the high-tech, science-based worlds of biotechnology, regulated protocols, and data management.  It was her sharp eye for detail and dedication to excellence that put her in the position for career advancement in Quality Assurance and Data Integrity, at major corporations such as the Amgen Corporation and LexisNexis.

But is it really possible to contain an innate passion for the Arts?  Not for Paco-Michelle!  In the spring of 2009, she returned to her writing and dance "roots", and has been dedicated to focusing on the undiscovered terrain of her own creative faculties, as well as that of others. Back in theaters and local studios, she shares the profound spirit and style of Lester Horton and esteemed mentor, Shirley Martin...teaching and training young dancers at Spectrum Dance Studio...promoting and collaborating with fresh new Seattle talent such as Youth Speaks...and performing regularly at well-known Seattle venues/events such as Columbia City Theater & Lounge, the Little Red Studio & Bistro, the Folk Life Festival, and Brazil Fest.

Catering to, both, adults and children of local arts communities, as well as to global niche markets, she has established that "happy medium" for performing artists and innovative minds of any skill-level.  Whether in the spotlight, or behind the scenes, Paco-Michelle Atwood leaves and irreplaceable mark of professionalism and ingenuity on any project where she is privileged to participate!
